Biography:

Lee Chong Wei, the World No. 1 badminton player, has won 28 singles title for Malaysia since 2003. In the last Commonwealth Games in 2006, Lee bagged two gold medals for Malaysia.
In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Lee became the first Malaysian men’s player to reach the final of the singles event. He clinched a silver medal to end his country’s medal drought since 1996. He was bestowed the honorary title of ‘Datuk’ for his achievements.
He has been in an enviable form for the last two years. In 2009 he won Malaysia Super Series, Swiss Super Series, Indonesia Open Super Series, YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Super Series and BWF Super Series Masters Finals.
This year he has won Korea Super Series, Malaysia Open Super Series, All England Super Series and Indonesia Open Super Series.
